On Jun 29, the special assistant of the United State Houston mayor Mr. Matthew Shailer, and the vice-president of Houston Trade Centre Ms. Dong Yingmei visited RCCEF and discussed the potential cooperation opportunities. The director of RCCEF Wang Yao, external experts Dr. Liu Hengwei, director assistant Dr. Chen and RCCEF research fellow Dr. Xu Yinshuo attended. The subject of the discussion was energy finance and low-carbon city development.
Professor Wang Yao introduced the aim of setting up RCCEF, its development history and future development plan, and proposed the idea for potential research cooperation. Mr. Matthew Shailer and Ms. Dong Yingmei introduced their work and established the future cooperation intention in the field of energy policy and energy finance. Recent cooperation potential was also discussed.

The World Energy Cities Alliance is a non-profit organization, composing of 21 main energy cities. It provides a platform for global energy industry best practice exchange. Mr. Matthew Shailer is the former director assistant of Houston International Trade and Development Center and the International Affairs and Development Center.
