On the morning of March 22nd, 2023, the 35th lecture of "Wei Gong Lecture Hall" was successfully held in Conference Room 603 of the Academic Hall. Professor HUANG Huang, Vice Dean of the School of Government and Management at Peking University, was invited to give a special lecture on "Characteristics and Trends of Digital Government Construction in the New Era". This lecture is hosted by Associate Professor SONG Weiwei, Deputy Director of MPA Education Center.
Professor HUANG elaborated on the construction of digital government from three aspects: conceptual analysis, main characteristics, and development trends. Firstly, Professor HUANG analyzed and explained the policy definition, tool definition, and theoretical definition of digital government. He stated that introducing modern information technology to build e-government or digital government is the core content of traditional information structure transformation in governance systems.
Subsequently, Professor HUANG summarized the main characteristics of the current digital government construction and development from three aspects: goals, resources, and methods.
Finally, Professor HUANG interpreted the development trend of digital government from three aspects: decision support, collaborative governance, and interactive innovation. He stated that artificial intelligence is thriving, big data industrialization is constantly deepening, and digital government has broad innovation and development space in fields such as artificial intelligence, interactive support, and collaborative governance.
Associate Professor SONG Weiwei commented and interacted on the lecture, expressing gratitude to Professor HUANG for his strong support, and transferring the Graduate Classroom Guest Certificate issued by the Graduate School of Central University of Finance and Economics to Professor HUANG.
